Constructive criticism much appreciated.

This is a particularly long story about how a human and an Anima fell in love and the human opted to become an Anima to be with his love.

Note me for any questions about the Lore on the Anima, Sylvanwood, or anything about the story that couldn't be fully answered. Also, as a joke; who can spot the Magic: The Gathering reference?

Sorry for the slow start and horribly rushed ending, but I was severely pressed for time. Preview Image taken from [link] (I DO NOT OWN WALLPAPER)

I'm not one for romances, but this is a definite exception.
I don't see the ending as overly rushed at all. I think it is tied up very well.
And I love how the kick-boxing style fighting is incorporated.
Very well done indeed. The depth, the way you write, the story itself, I love it!

0.0 That's... a little unexpected.

I am doing an edit of the canon ending and two alternate endings for the story, mainly so it makes a little more sense.

I added in the kick-boxing because I am sick to death of reading/watching a young-adult romance that doesn't have a hint of action in it.

Thanks for your say and the :+fav:, Tay.

Ahaha, it's engaging, not overly soppy and has action. Definitely better than others.
Awesome. I look forward to reading them too.
Exactly. Love and romance are much more exciting when violence/action is involved.
No worries at all Nic ^_^

At least it's engageing. That's the main thing.

Who knows when they'll be up though, time is something i do not have and am lacking things to make the time.

No arguments there.

Indeed.
Well, lacking time is better then having time and wasting it, I suppose.

Wow, a stunning piece! I love Jace's personality, and the interaction between him and Lanaea at the start was really well written.
I think I stumbled across a typo, however. Page 47 - Lanaea shook her head and threw her hands at the boar. "Just have what you want. Consider it a 'thank you' gift on Lanaea's behalf."
Should it be 'Laena shook her head ...' instead of 'Lanaea shook her head ...' ?
Besides that, the story was quite smooth and very entertaining overall. Your ideas are fresh and unique, great work!

Thanks a bunch. Was there any confusion that needed clearing or any IA lore that you want to know about?

Considering it was over 55 pages, I was actually surprised that no one has picked up on any other mistakes. I also apologize for the rushed ending, I needed to link it to the main series.

My absolute pleasure! And no, you did a great job of describing the races and towns/cities of Cyrene without making the text boring.
But would you mind explaining the reason behind the name 'Ash-Child'? Lanaea calls Jace that because of his origins as a human; because the humans built and live in cities such as Acadamia, right?
Also, how long did this take you to write in total?

No need to apologise for the rushed ending :)

Ash-Child comes from the Parthenon's (Church of the Divine Pantheon) dogma of the Matriarch and the Patriarch creating life on Takarous. The Matriarch created the forests, the seas, the animals and other mythical (by Earth standards) beings such as Nymphs and Elves, from water and the air. The Patriarch created the mortal races (Humans, Dwarves, Orcs, Sahidhi, and Rhin) to protect the world from danger and to minister it. However, while the Matriarch created her beings from purer elements, the Patriarch created the mortal races from volcanic ash. This inadvertadly meant that the mortals were easily corrupted by outside forces.

When Kaedor (Divine god of Light and Darkness), Malak (Divine god of Strength, Righteous Fury and Fire) and the Arch-Demons rebelled against the other Divines (Seryna, Divine god of Love and Beauty, also rebelled, but only after she was captured by Arch-Demon Mikaelus and raped), the corruption from the war led to Takarous' races to be corrupted by emotions such as hate, lust, anger, greed, gluttony etc.

That covers the origins. What the term actually means is someone that is only capable of hate, war and lies. This is derived from the Elven belief that most humans were only capable of such and were often at raised voices with humans.

Referring back to the story, Corra explains that the Aquila Imperium was insulted by the Elves to the point of launching all-out war against them. The Elves were getting smashed at every turn. Desperate, they saw advantages in the wildlife that could help them (night vision, improved hearing, increased agility etc.) turn the war in their favour. When they finally concocted the draught that would give them the wildlife abilities, it back fired on them because it was too strong for the Elves to handle (they tested it on human prisoners), transforming them into the Anima showcased in the story. Scared of what the Elves had become, Praefectus Maximus Tarquin Septimus ordered the first and only retreat in Imperium history (wasn't in the history books, as it's a black spot the Imperium wants hidden). It was from that war that the general fear/despise of Humans came from.

Sorry for the wall of text, but it's something that took a fair bit of developing to work properly.

As for how long it took me, over three weeks. Life intervened where she could.
